This cock bead plane is used to cut 1/8" cock beading for drawer surrounds, either stuck onto the case sides of applied to rabbets cut into the drawer fronts. Patterned from an original, this plane is only 7" long, and has a tapered and hardened O-1 tool steel blade bedded at 60 degrees. Made of American Beech with the bead boxed with persimmon.
